John Thomas Loach was a keen golfer and the group comes with a hallmarked silver trophy (weighing just over 145 grams) for the Leicester & Rutland Amateur Championship 1924 which was presented to him as well as a scrapbook full of newspaper cuttings and photographs relating to his golfing. 

Also included in this lot is John’s brothers British War Medal. His brother was Matthew Maynard Loach and he served in the 18th Bn. Highland Light Infantry. The medal is named 41510 Cpl. M.M. Loach. High. L.I.
