L.R.C.P.S. Ed. and L.F.P.S.G. St. Bart´´s, 1913; commissioned Lieutenant Indian
Medical Service, 31.1.1914; served during the Great War on the Western Front,
16.10.1914-4.2.1915; attached as Medical Officer 59th Scinde Rifles (7th
Division), from 15.6.1915; served with the Mesopotamian Expeditionary Force,
5.1.1916-26.4.1918 (M.I.D. London Gazette 15.8.1917), and with the Egyptian
Expeditionary Force, 13.5.1918-31.10.1918; served at the Indian Surgical
Hospital, Agra, 1922-23 and at the Indian Surgical Hospital, Lucknow, 1923-24;
served as Commanding Officer Indian Surgical Hospital and Medical Services
Depot, Rangoon, 1924-27; advanced Colonel 1936; retired 1944; he died at his
residence, “Fugelmere”, Culver Way, Sandown, Isle of Wight.
