A first world war death plaque to 1157 Private Arthur Dames Blacker, 14th (2nd Barnsley Pals) Bn. York and Lancaster Regiment. 

Memorial Plaque (Death Penny) named to Arthur Dames Blacker 

Died of Wounds – 12th June 1916 (Ste. Marie Cemetery, Le Havre) 

Arthur Dames Blacker was born in Darfield, Yorkshire in October 1879. He employed as a Miner at the Cortonwood Colliery before enlisting into the 2nd Barnsley Pals on 03/05/15. His papers show he received a gun shot wound to his legs on 07/06/16.
