George Alfred Toon was born on 21/02/1898 in Burton on Trent, Staffs. He was a Beer Bottler by trade and enlisted in to the Royal Navy as a Boy in 1916. He served through both wars and was awarded the DSM (L.G. 11/06/1942). We believe the award was for his work on armed trawlers, minesweepers and anti-submarine vessels during convoys.
The medals have some minor edge knocks and surface wear. Please see photos.
